We all know a person that is always plagued by the idea that something is wrong with them, and has an ever-present anxiety about a possible infection or disease they might catch. These hand sanitizer addicts are your friendly neighborhood hypochondriacs. What has made things worse and caused an explosion of hypochondriacs is the fact that now we have a world of information at our fingertips, courtesy the smartphone. We have become so use to searching for things online, that if a person is ill or suffering from a headache, the first thing they will do is Google the symptoms for a possible cause. This has also led to the boom in the number of online doctors in the market. These ‘specialist’ diagnose things over the internet and provide you with a possible explanation. In cases with minor illness these online diagnoses can save money and time.
