6. Hot Dog, We Have A Wiener
Way back in the 50’s, Armour Hot Dog company sent batches of 10 milligram purified batches of a protein called ribonuclease A to researchers doing work on Armour’s protein. Scientists Christian B. Anfinsen, Stanford Moore and William Howard Stein later went on to win the Nobel Prize for their work on Ribonuclease.
