17. Comoros, Africa
These islands off the South-East coast of Africa and far-off 1140 kms from Mozambique dissuade many a tourist to make a trip to the Comoros. Internal infrastructure is very poor but at the same time one can take in the awesome scenery. Snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities are aplenty and the beaches are of world-standards. Turtles and dolphins abound in the seas around the Comoros. The capital city of Moroni has decent hotel rooms available..
