The Gatebox features a central character named Azuma Hikari that lives inside the gadget. It was designed to not only be a home assistant but also a companion of sorts. The Gatebox can perform functions like waking you up, turning the lights on and off, giving you details about the weather conditions and providing company as you go about your day.
