Tibetan Mastiff
The hearty breed from one of the harshest environments is also amongst the oldest dog breeds around. The Tibetan Mastiff is a giant of a dog with adult males reaching up to 90 kg in weight. Although quite patient by nature, these fluffy giants are known to be extremely protective of their family and turf. Friends of children may find it difficult to enter the house with the dog on watch. It is also recommended that they are kept indoors overnight as they tend to ‘guard’ their homes and bark through it all to let you know that they are on duty.
