This German-origin domestic dog was once mostly used to guard livestock and even pull carts laden with butchered meat. Ranging from 110 to 130 lbs this powerful animal is also ideal in roles of guard, police or even rescue dogs. The Rottweiler can be a dangerous dog if subjected to abuse, neglect or irresponsible ownership.
