18. Cane Corso
The Cane Corso is an Italian Mastiff weighing anything from 100 to 150 lbs. This muscular creature believed to be a descendant of the Canis Pugnax used by the Romans in warfare is now used mostly as an Italian guard dog and in many cases as a pure companion.
