12. Malaysia
Malaysia is one of the fastest growing economies of South-East Asia developed clocking an average average annual growth rate of 6.5%. Malaysia is a country full of natural resources with Penang in the north having some of the world’s oldest tropical forests. The region is also known for its rapidly growing software sector and called the “Silicon Valley of Malaysia” The vibrant capital city of Kuala Lumpur is best known for its twin 88-storied Petronas Towers and probably the most photographed of all spots. Today Malaysia is strongly building its hospitality, tourism, finance and science based industries, all of which draws visitors in great numbers. This South-East Asian Tiger drew in 25.9 million visitors in 2017.
