A former opening batsman for India and skipper of the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise, Gambhir is worth $35 million and earns $5 million annually. Gambhir led Kolkata Knight Riders to their second IPL title in 2014, earning a record package of $1.5 million at that time. The Delhi-born Gambhir makes his income from various brands endorsements and IPL contracts. The 36-year old was ICC Test Player of the Year in 2009.
