4. Great Ormond Street Hospital, UK
Considered the largest children’s hospital in the UK, the institution came into existence due to the efforts of Dr. Charles West. Dr. West’s determination turned the hospital that initially hosted only 10 beds into a children’s specialty hospital through the support of Queen Victoria and Charles Dickens. It is also UK’s largest center for child heart surgery.
