2. In Jurassic Park, velociraptors’ communication sound is actually turtles mating sounds.
Nobody knows what sound the extinct animals, like velociraptors, make while communicating, and so does Gary Rydstrom, the creative Sound designer of Jurassic park. Since there was a scene were these dinosaurs communicate with each other, Gary Rydstrom had to spent several weeks in Zoo learning and recording different sounds of different animals. Finally, he used the sound turtles make while mating with each other as velociraptors chatting sound. Similarly, sounds of other animals like tigers, elephants, whales, geese, etc were used as other dinosaurs’ communication sounds.
