4. Castle of Good Hope, Cape Town, South Africa
Constructed by The Dutch East India Company, the castle of Good Hope is a bastion fort in the city of Cape Town. Aside from being the center-point of civilian and military activities, the site was also host to brutal punishments and executions. The guards that are on duty at the fort still hear screams and strange voices during night shifts. They say that they are never alone; it always feels like someone is watching them.
