10. The troupe of nutcrackers, can openers, bottle openers and cork removers
Among the many things one can find in the kitchen drawer are the humble nutcrackers, can openers, bottle openers and cork removers. Each of them has a designated purpose that they fulfil with utter perfection.
The Nutcracker
Cracking open a nut from its shell is not the easiest of tasks. The tough shells are notorious for putting up a fight to open. The nutcracker comes in handy when you want to extract a nut like walnuts, almonds, etc.
The Can Opener
Tin cans are designed to ensure that the food contents within are in no way contaminated. The sealed design does protect the food as intended, but, it also makes it difficult to get the food out of the can when need be. The can opener comes as a savior for many who would earlier use methods like smashing the can against a hard surface to get the food product out.
Bottle Openers
The tin cap on top of soda bottles was placed to ensure that the fizz from the drink did not escape. To get through this metal seal and consume the contents of a capped bottle, bottle openers came into picture.
Cork Removers
Who does not love the pop of the cork when you open a bottle of champagne? The cork remover makes sure that bottle is rid of the cork without sustaining any damage on it.
