While fighting AIDS among cats, scientists at the Mayo Clinic modified the feline creatures with jellyfish genes that astonishingly, made them glow in the dark. When the scientists realized that this gene implantation worked, they implanted rhesus macaques genes that blocks the virus that causes feline AIDS.
